Our Story
Atlantic Auction Service, nestled in Wilkes County, North Carolina, was founded in 2008 by Thomas Livingston, who turned his passion for auctioneering into a thriving business. With 15 years of experience and certification from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, Thomas aimed to create a space where unique treasures could be found, and sellers could maximize their possessions' value. The company's commitment to excellence and exceptional customer service quickly earned community recognition, leading to a nomination for the prestigious Small Business of the Year Award in 2012.
Facing challenges from the rise of e-commerce and the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlantic Auction Service struggled to adapt. Enter Caleb Huffman, a young entrepreneur who envisioned integrating an online platform into the traditional auction model. Intrigued by Caleb's vision, Thomas brought him on as the Marketing & Advertising Director. Together, they transformed Atlantic Auction Service into a digital powerhouse, conducting live online auctions and reaching customers worldwide. Under their leadership, the company has emerged stronger, demonstrating the power of adaptation and innovation.
